Warehouse Training

Warehouse Training occurs as a “first step” before the trainees are enrolled in a community-based training opportunity.  In this way, trainees at The H.E.A.R.T. Program receive “hands-on” instruction in a safe, supervised environment.  The H.E.A.R.T. Program’s Warehouse is where trainees learn to sort and label items, take product inventory, and produce requisitions.  They learn to make sure that each vending machine gets the correct amount and variety of goods.  Trainees learn to differentiate items by color, size, and shape.  The H.E.A.R.T. Program supervisors help teach trainees to properly load and unload vending machines as well as other activities to prepare the trainees for success in the workplace.
